Woke up this morning and my thumb hurt so bad it had that stinging sensation like when you pop a blood vessel. it was swollen and stiff still hurts?

Contusion: You may have bumped your thumb and overnight had a bruise develop. It may turn colors like blue, green, yellow and disappear over 1 week or so. If not better consult a Doctor for Xray and advise. Small fingers can get bone chips that will show up on a Xray.
