A member asked:

How much units of vitamin d per day does a 3 yr old require?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

400 units (400 IU): Infants, children, and teens should get at least 400 units of vitamin D from their daily diet and supplements together. It is ok to get more than 400 units if they are getting that additional vitamin D from food and drink, but talk with the pediatrician before giving more than 400 units a day in supplements.
