A 30-year-old member asked:
Is night sweats related to scheuermann disease type 2?
1 doctor answer • 2 doctors weighed in

Dr. Bac Nguyen answered
Family Medicine 23 years experience
Not likely: Kyphosis (scheuermann's disease) is a curving of the spine that causes a bowing or rounding of the back, which leads to a hunchback or slouching posture...Basically scoliosis of the thoracic spine. This does not cause night sweat!
severe kyphosis is a risk factor for pneumonia etcc...Which can cause night sweat, among other things.
If you have night sweats, consult your doc.
Good luck.

same thing...type2 starts when you are young...often more severe form of it. Still, this should not cause nightsweat.
Consult your doc for further eval if the nightsweat is not going away.

since you already had multiple work-up and no cause found, it is reasonable to at least treat it...Benadryl 25-50mg tab before bed may provide some relief. If this is not helpful, consult with your doc for some alternative.
I wish you the best.
