Common not normal: Bleeding in pregnancy is very common but is not normal. It should be promptly evaluated by your doctor. You need to confirm that you have a normal pregnancy located inside the uterus. Since you are so early they will likely monitor you by blood hormone testing until you are further along for a sonogram to be of use
