A member asked:

Period blood but not on period. using jasmine for 4months. first time this occurs. no pain. should we go to gp?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Jasmine/bleeding?: The most common cause of spotting/bleeding on low dose bcp's such as Jasmine is not taking the active pills within the hour of the previous day's active pill. The delay can cause the lining of the uterus to degenerate slightly (estrogen withdrawal). Suggest stopping the active pills now, wait five days, and resume with a new pack. Take in evening within the previous evenings pill time of an hour
