A member asked:

Manubrium discomfort relieved by eating something. what could that be? it's in that part of my chest no pain

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If it is upper: chest discomfort and it is relieved with food, it is likely to be stomach acid in the esophagus causing this pain. Sometimes acid can reflux upwards towards your throat, causing burning sensation on the way. This is especially true at night when you lie flat. If you have early ulcer formation in the stomach, you can get hunger pangs with or without gas. May need to see a healthcare provider.
