Musculoskeletal: Based on the types of movements in golf you may have dislocated a rib posteriorly or anterior where it attaches to the sternum. The other possibility is that you may have torn some muscle or tendon fibers where the pectoralis muscles are attached to the sternum. An adjustment with chiropractor may help and avoiding the offending movement will allow time to heal.
