Mri for ankylosing spondylitis. results: no mr evidence of sacroillitis, no synovitis. bilateral sacroiliac joint oseteoarthritis, left more severe than right, focal enhancing subchondral edema both sides of left sacroilliac joint. arthritis? tumor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Arthritis: Osteoarthritis of the SI joints would be rare in a 30 year old. It is not a tumor but I am not certain that ank spondy is totally ruled out. Has your blood been tested for the HLA_B27 antigen? If not, do so as this is a marker for ank spondy. If you have not seen a rheumatologist, please do so.
