Doctor can evaluate: Such symptoms may be due to a problem in the arm itself or in the nerves coming out of the spine and going to the arm. A primary care doctor, or a physical medicine doctor (PM&R doctor), can evaluate. A neurologist or an orthopedic doctor may be consulted, if needed. Some people get nerve entrapment problems at the elbow.
