A member asked:

Made a sudden move playing tennis and felt a pop in arch of left foot causing instant severe pain when trying to walk. iced it and no swelling.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plantar fascia tear: This may represent a tear of the plantar fascia and/or one of the adjacent soft tissues. A fracture is less likely. If seen in the office, we would x-ray the patient, ultrasound the bottom of the foot and put the patient in a boot and/or use crutches. For now, continue icing for 20 minutes, 4-5 times/day and limit your weight-bearing. If I can be of help, then www.healthtap.com/dr-clarkeholmes
