Sure: A patient can call her primary care doctor to schedule a routine check-up. She should do her check-up when she is not ill. If the appointment is too short to do everything in one visit, she may have to do part of her check-up at a second visit. For example, there may not be enough time to do a Pap smear and pelvic exam, plus everything else in one visit. Routine screening lab tests can be ordered.
