Head pains: Sharp, shooting head pains are often due to neuralgia which is an irritable/slightly inflamed superficial nerve in the scalp and is not related to brain pathology. If the pains occur at the base of the skull and radiate upwards behind the ear, it is the occipital nerve which may be pinched or irritated as it exits the neck near the base of the skull. This is a nuisance disorder. See a neurologist

Without examining: you and obtaining a full medical history it is not possible to assess whether your symptoms are significant or not. You need to see a health care professional for an evaluation and examination and perhaps some testing too.

NO: If this lasts only seconds and is intermittent this may be nerve irritation or compression. Generally benign, due to scalp muscle or scalp however, I suggest a complete examination.

Left head pain: I think it is always a good idea to check out pains. may be TMJ or tooth ( see dentist) , or lymph node, , or coming from neck, or neuralgia, migraine variant. F/u/ w/ doc
