No effect: The azithromycin does not effect your birth control or your menstrual cycle. Spotting is not unusual while on birth control.

BCP's/antibiotics: Some antibiotics can interfere with the absorption of oral bcp's,, but "spotting 11 days later" is probably not related to the antibiotic taken. If you have taken a pill later than 24 hours after the last active pill, spotting can occur similar to when you take the placebo (inactive) pills. If you maintain taking the active pills no longer than 24 hours later than the last, you can minimize this.
