Yes: Chlamydia is quite easy to treat and cure. A single dose of 1 gram (1000 mg) of Azithromycin is considered 100% effective. The reinfection rates are quite high if all partners to the treated person are not treated.

Chlamydia: Chlamydia can be cured with 1 gram of azithromycin taken by mouth one time or amoxicillin 500mg three times a day for 7 days. I prefer the azithromycin once because patients can forget or miss doses so why not get it over with one treatment. Safe sex is the best thing to prevent recurrent infections which are common.
