Mirena IUD: The Mirena IUD has progesterone imbedded and can inhibit ovulation. Sometimes prolonged bleeding can occur secondary to thickened endometrium degenerating, so if you have had this discharge for two months ("since then..." ) you need to see your gyn for an exam. Sometimes an IUD can be forced into the cervical canal, and actually cause the bleeding.
