Supervised taper: Cilift (citalopram) is a SSRI medication that can have unpleasant side effects if it is discontinued suddenly, so any dosage reduction should be under the guidance of your doctor and done gradually. Also, the side effect of dizziness may go away at lower dosages.

CONSULT DOCTOR: First before going off any medications talk to the doctor that prescribed it. They can let you know if it is best to discontinue and how. Cilift is citalopram an antidepressant that is in the SSRI class. Depending on the dose etc you really need to taper off slowly if this is the recommendation of your prescribing doctor.
