See below : Important to distinguish whether source of bleeding is from the vagina or from the urinary tract. Not uncommon to have some mild bleeding or spotting from the vagina or cervix after sex in a menstruating female and generally benign and self-limiting. Blood in the urine in young female most commonly related to a UTI and usually associated with UTI symptoms: urgency, frequency, and burning.
