Yes: You could be pregnant even if your iud is in the correct place. If you do become pregnant with an iud in place, you are at high risk for an ectopic pregnancy. You should seek medical care ASAP, especially considering the right groin pain.

Yes: IUDs do not always prevent pregnancy. If you have had trouble with the IUD, you may be at higher risk. Best wishes!
