Doctor can evaluate: Many early pregnancies don't make it. When a pregnancy test is positive, and a follow-up test is negative, there may have been a short-lived pregnancy. On the other hand, one of the test results could be wrong. A primary care doctor or an ob-gyn doctor can help sort out the symptoms.
