Mgt.: I would recommend an evaluation. This may include treatment for inflammatory changes and asthma. If there is a fever, she may have developed bacterial complications.

See a Doctor: I would need more information about your wife (ie, does she smoke, have asthma, recent exposures, other symptoms like shortness of breath / wheezing) and listen to her lungs to make a more accurate assessment of what ay be causing her condition.
