Short chained FOS: A diet high in short chained fructooligosaccharides, found in whole grain wheat, garlic, asparagus, tomato products, leeks and onions will lower the ph of the stool and increase the beneficial bacteria in the colon so that the yeast are kept in balance and do not overgrow.
