I am experiencing cough (quality: barky, hoarse, or hacking sounds, no phlegm or mucus) (worsened by: lying flat, worse at night) and nasal drainage.

GERD?: Postnasal drips can cause a cough (usually from allergies) but so can acid reflux (which tends to worsen when lying down) If the cough is severe, one needs to consider whooping cough as well. Best to see your doctor.
