A member asked:

Still bleeding after seeing a gp, he said it was possibly due to a hormonal imbalance, and put me on triphasel for 2 months, it has gotten worse in the past few days, should i get a new prescription? the closest ob/gyn is booked for atleast 3 weeks.

Other testing: If birth control pills did not resolve the irregular bleeding then further evaluation is warranted. An exam and pelvic sonogram are typical first places to start. Then if needed other testing can be considered. Ask your primary care doctor to help arrange a more rapid referral
