I'm on seasonique 10+yrs & skip the sugar pills (5+yrs) per dr, due to endometriosis. celibate 5yrs, now dark discharge starts 2wks after intercourse. why? problems? pregnant? help.

BCP/no placebos: Taking the oral bc for many years without breaks (no sugar pills) can produce a thicker lining of the uterus, and some spontaneous withdrawal bleeding can occur. Pregnancy is very unlikely, but if concerned, get a serum HCG test to make sure. Stop the oral bcp for five days, and then resume. Endometriosis is surpressed, but an occasional break is a good idea.
