Period 2 days late then light bleed for 2 days. actively trying for baby. got headaches and slightly high temperature. took a urine pregnancy test before the bleeding and it was negative. could i have tested too early? could i be pregnant? thanks

Can test in few days: Pregnancy unlikely, but one can retest in a few days. A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is usually real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test.
