I have hiatus hernia. i take 40mg omeprazole. today i have had constant pain in the sterum area. can i take more omeprazole to help with pain?

Multiple Causes?: More omeprazole is unlikely to help. Chest pain can be a symptom of heart disease but may be may other things such as esophageal spasms, great vessel disease, respiratory disorders (asthma, COPD, bronchitis, infections), and muscle problems to name a few. It really depends on the clinical situation and other symptoms you may be having. If you are having pains now GO SEE A DOCTOR!
