Cold in our family. lasts a bit long has been 4 weeks for me. getting better now. i have a wet cough but significantly better. no fever. runny nose but seems to be getting better. is it normal for some symptoms to last like this?

Can happen: most probably it is sinusitis, first starts as viral upper respiratory infection, then at times secondary bacterial infection kicks in, and that takes time for the body to eradicate, so if you are suffering still, kindly see your doctor, as you may need antibiotics, good luck
