Needs evaluation: Severe abdominal pain definitely needs to be evaluated, either by your primary care doctor or gastroenterologist, or if you are in severe pain and can't see one of them, you should go to the emergency room. There are all sorts of issues that can cause this but you need to be evaluated ASAP.
