Safe: Anxiety often causes sufferers to fear a heart attack, particularly if it gets to the point of panic. Physical symptoms of anxiety such as palpitations, fast heart rate, and shortness of breath can increase fear and aggrevate initial anxiety. Cognitative behavioral therapy is a good and safe choice for social anxiey. Medication may be good second line therapy.
