A member asked:

I was told on 12/06/17 that a cyst had raptured & the blood around in my uterus causing pain. im having heavy bleeding with blood clots, help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hormonal imbalance: The cyst rupture probably altered your hormonal balance and the heavy bleeding is likely to be a one time thing. If you are not in pain, you may watch and wait. For mild pain you may take acetaminophen. You may also wish to take oral iron and multivitamin supplements to prevent anemia. If heavy bleeding persists for more than 3-4 days, see doctor. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine
