Chondromalacia: Budinger-Ludloff-Lawen syndrome is another name for chondromalacia of the patella or patellofemoral pain syndrome. This is a common cause of knee pain in young people - especially women. There is nothing lethal about it, but it can cause significant difficulties due to knee pain.
