Exercise is safe: There is no recommendation for running while pregnant. If you are a runner prior to becoming pregnant you certainly can continue. Remember to stay hydrated, wear supportive shoes, and as you get later in pregnancy you could consider a support belt for you stomach as it starts to put pressure on your back. Remember that running should feel good and if it does not you should do more low impact work.
