My dr prescribed me cefprozil 500 mg once daily for 10 days for sinus infection. does it help with staph infection to. or do i need another antibiotic?

Probably OK: This antibiotic usually will be effective against sinusitits due to bacteria, but not viruses. It treats some but not all staph infections, but staph is an uncommon cause of sinusitis, so it probably doesn't matter. Discuss with the doctor if any doubt or otherwise concerned.

It may: but if you don't get better after having been on the abx for more than 3-4 days, you may need to reconsider the diagnosis or the choice of abx.
