Amount of pleura thi: diffuise pleural thickeneing involves most opf the pleural surface of both lungs. Focal plearal thickening is localized. Diffuse pleural thickening can be caused by malignancy, infection, of occupational lung disease. Local pleural thickening is often caused by local infection, scarring, pulmary embolism (old) and also occupational lung disease
