Thyroid: Your thyroid gland regulates your metabolism. Maybe it needs to be checked. Body temperature is usually the same all over. See if your blankets or clothes are causing excess warmth. Intermittent warmth could also be a vascular problem. See your doctor for check up and lab work for your thryoid gland.
