I had a ventricular septal defect and i have a back flush in the main aorta. haven't had a check up for years and my diastolic blood pressure is 140..how can i get a referral for a check up?

From the data you supplied you should see your regular doc as soon as you can get in. Your high blood pressure needs immediate attention before you stroke out or have kidney failure. Discuss any additional referrals with him/her at that time.

See GP: As will depend on symptoms other clinical signs or absence of signs of failure (hopefully the latter) size of the original defect etc. Will need someone who can access your original records, review your current clinical state and then refer you on if followup is needed (small ventricular septal defects with no symptoms may not need anything). GP is best bet here.
