Depends on severity: With a cold, sinus or ear infection, strep throat, or other similar minor infection, one's diet need not change. But, it's wise to avoid big meals, greasy meals, and anything else that would worsen nausea or that would cause vomiting or stomach upset. Teens have many classmates and catch things like strep throat or influenza... a doctor may prescribe medicine, and help decide when to go to school.
