A member asked:

Would an inner ear infection cause a tingling sensation on the side of the face where the infected ear is located?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It might: The nerve that brings sensation to the face passes through a canal in the skull close to the middle ear, so inflammation there could cause nerve symptoms. If there is no resolution, other causes need to be considered. The reverse may be true, inflammation of the nerve can cause inner ear symptoms.
