A member asked:

My patient is experiencing lower abdominal pain (side: left) . the following also describe her: fever, nausea, and rapid heart rate. what should she do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can examine: The left abdomen has muscles of the abdominal wall (and the nerves coming out of the spinal cord, going to the muscles), the stomach, spleen, parts of the large intestine (colon) and small intestine, the ureter from the left kidney to the bladder, etc... Pain can come from a variety of problems (such as diverticulitis, etc...), so anything other than mild brief pain should be checked by a doctor.
