Can a heartbeat be seen at 5weeks 4 days and then not seen at 6weeks 4 days and then be seen again a week later? i have been told i should do a d&c?!

Fetal heartbeat: Fetal heartbeat can sometimes be seen at 5w/4d and just missed by the sonographer at 6w/4d, and detected by almost any sonographer at 7w.4d. Obtain a serum quantitative HCG level to determine viability of the pregnancy before proceding to a surgical procedure. This should shed light on the present viability of the pregnancy.
