A member asked:

Bit something hard and now a tooth i had filled 3 mnths ago is pressure sensitive, no temperature sensitivity. could it be bruised? should i wait to see a dentist and how if so, how long?

Wait 5-7 days: If the pain IS NOT getting worse give it 5-7 days to feel better. You may have "bruised" the tissue around the tooth. During this time eat softer foods and see how it goes. If the pain resolves, then no problem. If it fails to resolve, or worsens, it is possible that you have inadvertently cracked to filling and/or the tooth and your tooth will require re-treatment.
