I had cervical spine surgery 6weeks ago and have had a resting heart rate of 87 for a month (prior was 67). should i be concerned?

Unlikely: 6 weeks after spine surgery is still recover time. Also, you activity level has probably been less. I think you will find your heart rate will return to normal as you get completely recovered.

Yes: Your spinal surgery should not have impacted your heart rate unless you are still in pain or taking a medication which leads to the heart rate increase. Contact your family doctor to get checked.
