What does endocervical cells/squamous meta plastic cells are absent in a pap smear mean?

Otherwise: if pap is negative for abnormal cells and HPV, this is ok. If HPV not tested, may need repeat pap to insure an adequate sampling of the transformation zone of the cervix.
