Depends...: It would be worrisome if they got longer and longer. This would indicate that the IUD is not in the top of the uterus where it is supposed to be. But if you are just noticing that sometimes they are a little longer and sometimes a little shorter, its probably ok. If there is any question, you should see your doc who can do an u/s and verify that the IUD is in the correct position in the uterus.
