A member asked:

Does acid reflux happen more on empty stomach? is it best to eat small meals throughout the day to minimize it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can/ usually: Reflux can happen at any level of fill. It tends to occur as the stomach squeezes to mix the food which creates pressure. If the person is laying down at the time or consumes things that aggravate like any caffeine or nicotine it can make it worse. Smaller more frequent feeds seems to help some people.
