Dog has clostridium in stool & was given antibiotics. we have a newborn & anytime we clean up we wash our hands. before we knew dog was sick we only cleaned carpet with arm & harmer pet cleaner, not lysol. should we be concerned? symptoms in infant?

Symptoms: Any symptoms like fever or diarrhea in the infant? If not , nothing to be tested and not to worry, as long as dog has no symptoms and completed treatment.

Mgt.: Please use antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer when handling the baby. Newborns have immature immune systems and are more susceptible to illness. If the baby is not feeding well, having GI or other symptoms, including elevation in temperature, I would recommend seeing your PCP.
