It's cold out there.: It sounds as though you are having a somewhat exaggerated response to cold exposure. After being exposed to cold, the small blood vessels dilate as they warm up. This increase of blood flow to the tissues causes the redness. Some think it is a link to Raynaud's disorder, but it is found in quite a few people after exposure to varying degrees of cold. To remove all doubt seek an evaluation.
