If on Xanax no alcohol: Xanax and alcohol don’t mix and if taking Xanax on regular basis should avoid all alcohol; Xanax is not a medication that should be taken intermittently: it has significant rebound symptoms of anxiety and if taken over a period of time can cause seizures and withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly
