What's the cause: Neuropathy simply means nerve injury. Peripheral nerves control many things including sensation, motor function and automatic things like sweating, goosebumps. Injury to peripheral nerves can occur from diabetes, trauma, and many other metabolic processes as well as many medicines. With so many causes, the key is to find out the cause and the a treatment can be identified.
