No: It is safe to continue to use the active patches and skip the period week, which is similar to the long acting combiination bc pills or skipping the placebo pills on the 28 day packs., There may be some spotting after a few months, and taking a med break to bring on a full period may help. You may find a problem with insurance payment, however, in getting refills earlier than 28 days.
